Nereid Sector

The Nereid Sector is at the edge of explored space, part of the vast frontier of the Union — a cooperative multi-planetary multi-species organization dedicated to peacekeeping and research into the wonders of the universe.

\\== Actaea == Against a dull grey sky, a pattern of cracks in the rocky surface form perfect hexagons — each exactly 30.5 yards in diameter. Towers of hard rock thrust from the surface, their six-sides chiselled perfectly. But this is no strange art installation or training ground… this is the natural landscape of Actaea III. \\== Amatheia == A spaceship moves carefully through an asteroid belt, finally locating its quarry. The tractor beam activates, and ship and rock move closer together. In the distance, the sun flickers, momentarily growing brighter before once again becoming dim… \\== Arethusa == From high above, we see a series of island archipelagos. Zooming into one of the islands, a great volcanic mountain dominates, with a wide verdant area of green around the mountaintop. Great white-sand beaches stretch out beyond, and the sea is a bright blue, calm and unwavering. \\== Autonoe == Tall, sharp-peaked mountains stand against a raging sea below. A beacon on a white tower reaches out into the sky. Above, a satellite hangs above the tower, watching and listening.
